Clive Cussler (born July 15, 1931) is a famous adventure novelist and marine explorer. Before becoming the full-time writer, he was working as an advertising copywriter and later creative director.
Cussler has begun his novelist's career with the "The Mediterranean Caper" released in 1973 when he was 42. However, the fame came only after 11 years of writing with the third novel "Raise the Titanic!" released in 1976. And after four years this best-seller book was made into movie of the same name.
"Sahara" become the second movie based on Cussler's writing. Currently the total number of books written by Cussler is sixty-nine. Several of his works are written in co-authorship with his son Dirk, Jack DuBrul, Justin Scott, Paul Kemprecos, Craig Dirgo, and other authors.
